Alphion is located on the eastern side of Vis harbour, just a stroll away from Kut, the old part of town. The spacious terrace offers spectacular views of the bay and most amazing sunsets. There is a jetty you can swim from directly in front of the house and a beautiful pebbly beach 4-5 minutes walk away.
It was built in a contemporary style by local architect, and its creators were determined to build a modern house in the Dalmatian vernacular utilising stone cladding cones from Brač and the proportions are honest to the local tradition.
The accommodation is over three floors above its parking and service room. The large reception room on the first floor lets out onto a glass-enclosed dining area and a terrace. There are three bedroom suites on the second floor and a large sun terrace above. A lift, the first in a private house on the island, connects the various levels ensuring maximum use of the internal space.
The name Alphion derives from the Napoleonic wars when Captain Hoste had a base on Vis and this was the name of the ship that had been granted to him by Nelson and in which he led the British fleet to victory in the first Battle of Vis in February 1811.

Villa Alphion is absolutely beautiful, modern, spacious, and perfectly located. We loved having breakfast on the terrace and watching the sunsets over the bay. The sea access right in front of the house was a dream. Highly recommend!

Everything about this villa was perfect. The design is gorgeous — modern but with local charm. The lift was a great feature, especially for my parents. The view from every level is breathtaking. We truly didn’t want to leave!

We had a fantastic week at Villa Alphion. The house is elegant, very comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better, quiet, but still close to Kut. Swimming from the jetty and watching the sunset from the terrace was unforgettable. Mario was fantastic, super kind and made our stay really easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!
