Villa Artemis was originally part of a 400 year old fortified mansion situated in a quaint square Plohata od Cvijeca (square of flowers) in the heart of the old township of Kut. The Villa is within a minute walk to galleries, coffee bars, Kut’s elegant promenade and some of Dalmatia’s finest restaurants. A short stroll takes you to the beautiful town beach of Grandovac.

This historical building was once owned by the Jaksa family who were members of the nobles from Hvar and after many years of neglect it has been totally restored under the supervision of the heritage society with decor to reflect the serenity of the Island.

Courtyard

100M2 secluded private courtyard with palms, herb garden and a lemon tree. There is an outdoor kitchen area and shower. Here can you enjoy your evenings dining al fresco under subtle lighting with meals prepared on the traditional grill. There is an external old stone stairway leading up to the first floor

Living/dining area

Entering doors from the courtyard there is a75M2 open plan living/dinner with a fully equipped modern kitchen and utility room / toilet. With the floor heating and wood burning stove the house can be enjoyed early or late season as well as during the summer months. Stone stairs lead up to the first floor

First floor

From the stone stairs you come to a spacious hallway with a glass wall which lets in the light from the living room. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and a large spacious bathroom on this floor. All rooms are tastefully decorated with new and old furniture and there is air condition throughout. Floor heating is in the tiled bathroom. An oak stairway leads you up to the attic.

Attic

The attic is a very spacious floor with high ceilings in the bedrooms. There is one very large double bedroom (1 almost 30M2), one single bedroom, 1 bathroom and hallway. To keep in the balance with the rest of the house all rooms are decorated in a lovely style with old and new furniture and there is air conditioning throughout with floor heating in the bathroom.

The beds throughout the house are of high quality to ensure that you have a wonderful night’s sleep ready to explore the Island the next day.
