This traditional stone town-house has recently been lovingly restored and is air conditioned. Situated at the beginning of the old Vis town of Kut, it is conveniently positioned within easy walking distance of all Vis town landmarks; its cafes, galleries and restaurants. Setting-off in any direction guarantees you a pleasant and scenic walk; the stroll along the seafront from Kut to Luka is particularly memorable. Key features of the villa include the stunning roof terrace with sea and hillside views; ideal for barbecues and relaxing with a glass or two of the local wine. Villa Tristan sits on the main promenade one back from the sea; at night the waves can be heard washing on the shingle beach just five metres below. It is an ideal holiday home for families or large groups (up to nine persons) full of charm yet comfortable and spacious enough never to feel crowded.
The house is arranged over four levels:
In front of the house there is a small passage which leads to the beach. In the courtyard there is a pretty seating area with a stone table and benches perfect for al-fresco eating and people-watching. An old stone staircase leads to a raised entrance door which opens to the first floor.
Ground floor: Large (48m2) fully-equipped kitchen and dining area with wide double doors leading onto the courtyard. There is a long, oak dining table which seats up to 10 persons, as well as a separate, relaxed sitting area. This is a perfect gathering space where you will also find an eclectic collection of books and DVDs. Separate utility room with a washing machine and door to ground floor cloakroom WC. A wooden staircase hand-crafted by a local carpenter leads to the first floor
First floor: welcoming entrance hall leads to two bedrooms: the ‘yellow room’ with a quality double bed and the ‘white bedroom’ with two single beds. Rooms have high ceilings and exposed beams and are simply yet stylishly furnished with a mix of modern and antique furniture. Bathroom with large shower area
Second floor: Another two double bedrooms, ‘blue’ and ‘green’. The ‘blue room’ is the largest of the bedrooms and, in addition to a comfortable double bed with a high quality mattress it also has a standard cot bed which can be moved elsewhere in villa as required. Bathroom with bathtub…
Attic: Charming and tranquil room with a comfortable daybed suitable for sleeping. Double doors open onto the large roof terrace with views of Vis on three sides. An octagonal stone dining table and a traditional brick barbecue create the perfect sunny space for socialising and watching the boats come and go in the bay of Vis.

From the moment we boarded the ferry in Split we were amazed. Magical scenery on route. The short walk from Ferry to Villa Tristan was fall of oohs and ahs at every turn and corner. There were 9 in our party, the coolness of the house was welcome after the heat of the day. The house had everything we needed, comfortable beds, always hot water, all the utensils needed in the kitchen. The large table was the centre point for eating and our games evenings. The roof patio gives a quiet place for sunbathing although a little too small for 9 of us to sit together. Just across from the house small beach to sit on and safe for swimming. Situated centrally for both sides of Vis town to be explored. Plenty of restaurants to try the local cuisine. Restaurant Valerie not to be missed, fish dishes to die for. Local taxi reasonably priced to take you anywhere on the Island the drivers most helpful with suggestions of what to see and where to eat. The local bus is also a must. At the end of our 12 day stay I think it is true to say that we had fully explored Vis by taxi bus, boat and feet and we all reluctantly said goodbye with a promise to return. Thank you Villa Tristan and Vis you were wonderful.
